Funeral of Mrs. Gladys BRANNON (sic - BRANNAN) held in Birmingham Monday afternoon. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abe MADDIX.

Mary Gladys BRANNAN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abe MADDIX, born two miles southeast of Libertyville May 29, 1904; died at her home in Birmingham (of pneumonia) Oct. 1, 1938, age 34-4-2. Bur. Fell Cemetery.

Married Oct. 5, 1922, to J. C. BRANNAN, by Rev. J. B. Pritchard who also conducted her funeral. To this union one son Gordon Lee and ten years later a little daughter, Mary Jo, was born. Member Meth. Ch. Grad. Libertyville High School in 1920. Attended summer school at Parsons College two years and taught school one year at Hebron School....

Leaves husband, Joe C. BRANNAN, one son and little daughter 21 months old; one brother Aaron MADDIX and his wife Lorraine MADDIX, and three children, Verne, Von and Mary Delle MADDIX, her father and mother Mr. and Mrs. Abe MADDIX.....
