Fairfield, Ia., Aug. 3- The funeral services of Andrew G. Samuelson, where held Sunday afternoon at the Swedish Lutheran church two miles south of Lockridge and were in charge of Rev. E.C. Vanderpool of Lockridge. The interment took place in the Upland cemetery. The services were largely attended and there were many beautiful floral attributes.
Mr. Samuelson passed away Thursday morning at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield where he had under gone an operation for the removal of a tumor. He had been in ill health since early in the spring.
Mr. Samuelson was born on New Years day, 1876, and spent the greater part of his life on a farm two and a half miles west of Glasgow. He was highly esteemed by his neighbors and friends and the sympathies of the community are with the bereaved children of whom there are ten. Mrs. Velma Garmoe and Mrs. Roy Garmoe, both of Salem, Vern, Victor, Ernest, Vera, Clarence, Minnie, Floyd and Geneva all of whom are still at home. His mother Mrs. Velma J. Samuelson and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Griffith of Eldon and Mrs. John Larson of Sheldon South Dakota, also survive
