FRITZ Funeral Will Be Monday

BRIGHTON -- Michael FRITZ, 81, lifetime resident of the Brighton community, died at 5:45 p.m. Friday at his home in Brighton. He had been in failing health the past several years and seriously ill the past week.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 18, at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Edward J. Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Michael FRITZ was born April 3, 1885, in Brighton and spent his entire life in this area. He was the son of John and Mary POHREN FRITZ.

He was married to Gertrude ARNDT on May 29, 1917, in the St. Joseph Church of which he was a member.

In addition to his wife he is survived by five sons, Robert, Walter, John, Sylvester all of Brighton; and Cletus, Burlington; also three daughters, Mrs. Bernard REDLINGER and Mrs. John V. REDLINGER, both of Harper, Iowa, and Mrs. Melvin SCHNEIDER, Forest City.

Other survivors include 37 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ambrose LUTZ, East Pleasant Plain; two brothers, Leo and Matthew FRITZ, both of Washington.

FRITZ was preceded in death by an infant son and three brothers.
