Mrs. Magdalena VAN DYKE, 72, who resides at 302 E. Burlington, passed away Friday July 7 in the Mercy Hospital at Davenport (note: in Scott Co., IA).

Last rites will be Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Cletus P. Masden officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery at East Pleasant Plain.

Prayers for a Christian Wake will be held Sunday evening at 8 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home.

Magdalena VAN DYKE was born May 6, 1894, in Washington County, daughter of John and Agnes GLUK ZIELINSKI. She was reared and educated in Brighton.

She was married to Thomas WYSOSKE in 1914 at Brighton. She was later married to Wilbert VAN DYKE on April 24, 1919. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include one son, Robert WYSOSKE, Davenport; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph PEEBLER, Wheaton, Ill.; one step-son, Gale VAN DYKE, Van Nuys, Calif.; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Roy KIME, Oskaloosa and Anna ZIELINSKI, Brighton; and four brothers, Lawrence, Brighton; Thomas, Raymond and Sylvester, all of Davenport.

Mrs. VAN DYKE was preceded in death by one sister.
