PETER FRITZ DIED AT PLEASANT PLAIN

Word has been received in this city of the death of Peter FRITZ at Pleasant Plain, which occurred this afternoon, being due to heart trouble.

Mr. FRITZ was seventy-nine years of age and was the father of John FRITZ of this city.

Funeral arrangements have not as yet been made.

PETER FRITZ WAS WALNUT PIONEER

Peter FRITZ, one of the pioneers who helped made Walnut township died at his home two miles south of Brighton, at 3:50 o’clock Monday afternoon, May 17th, at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 26 days. His death was caused by heart trouble.

Mr. FRITZ was born in Germany, August 21, 1836, and emigrated to America with his parents in 1846. The family lived at Burlington for a short time but later settled in Walnut township which has been MR. FRITZ’ home for over 68 years. He was twice married.

Eleven children survive him. They are John H. and Mrs. D. F. KILFOY of Fairfield; J. A., of National City, Calif., Mrs. C. A. NEISWANGER of Washington, E. J. of Mason City, Mrs. Jas. KURTZ, Mrs. Frank PACHA, Otto, and Martin of this vicinity, and Andrew and Emma at home.

Funeral services will be held from St. Joseph's church in East Pleasant Plain with burial in the adjacent cemetery.--Brighton Enterprise
