Mrs. PACHA, 80, Dies Suddenly

Mrs. Clara S. PACHA, 80, 205 W. Hempstead, suffered a heart attack in the office of Dr. D. C. Jensen Tuesday afternoon and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Jefferson county hospital. Her death occurred about 1:55 p.m.

Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic church. Committal services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph cemetery at East Pleasant Plain. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Raymond Funeral Home.

The services will be in charge of the Rev. Cletus P. Madsen; the Rev. Raymond PACHA, celebrant; the Rev. Francis Henricksen, deacon; the Rev. Edward Shepherd, sub-deacon; and the Rev. E. P. Seidel, master of ceremonies.

Mrs. Clara PACHA was born June 1, 1885 in Keokuk county, the daughter of Wendel and Susan WEHR PEIFFER. She was reared and educated in Keokuk county and attended St. Agatha Academy at Iowa City.

She was united in marriage on Nov. 29, 1911 at Clear Creek to Joseph P. PACHA. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic church and the Altar and Rosary society.

Mrs. PACHA is survived by four sons, Leonard, Iowa City; the Rev. Raymond PACHA, North English; Col. Harold PACHA, Springfield Ill.; and Richard E., East Pleasant Plain; also one daughter, Mrs. Elmer ADAM, Richland.

Other survivors include 33 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a brother, Adolph PEIFFER, Pomroy, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died Sept. 26, 1954; one daughter, one grandchild, nine brothers and sisters.

Note: On October 16, 1965, Stephen PACHA, son of Richard PACHA of East Pleasant Plain, was married to Evelyn M. NELSON, daughter of Dale W. NELSON (1915-1964) and his wife Kathleen R. ELLER.
