Tony FRANZEN Dies Suddenly

Tony FRANZEN, 65, Washington, died suddenly Tuesday while working at his farm four miles southeast of Brighton in Jefferson County.

FRANZEN was born on the same farm July 19, 1902, son of Joseph and Johanna KNOPP FRANZEN. He moved to Washington two years ago.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Washington. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at East Pleasant Plain.

Prayers for a Christian Wake will be read Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Washington.

FRANZEN was not married. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Albert FRANZEN, Mrs. Rosa LAHR, Mrs. Mary GEVOCK, Leo FRANZEN and Gertrude FRANZEN, all of Washington; Theodore FRANZEN, Floodwood, Minn.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Lodge.
