Graveside services for CHARLES H. “TED” SMITH, 63, will be held Monday, Sept. 28 at St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain in charge of the REV. FRANCIS HENRICKSEN. SMITH died Tues. night at his home in Denver, Colo., following a heart attack. A former resident of Burlington, he was born there Dec. 11, 1900, son of JAMES and AUGUSTA JOHNSON SMITH; married FLORENCE KASOWSKY March 4, 1929. Surviving are wife, one daughter, MRS. SHIRLEY JENSEN, Portland, Ore.; and one sister, MRS. ALICE HEYNEN, Burlington. MRS. SMITH is a sister of MRS. VINCENT PEIFFER, Fairfield. The body will arrive at the Raymond Funeral Home Saturday. The Rosary will be recited there Sunday at 8 p.m.
