REUNIONS

WAGLER family

The WATLER family had its 36th annual campout the third weekend in September at Morris Park near Stockport (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

There was a great turnout, but not so great weather.

Mark and Pam WAGLER arrived on Monday, by Thursday others began showing up, too. They all had a wonderful time sharing. Friday came and "all the young'uns" started pulling in. Mark and Pam WAGLER brought their golf cart and took the DEAN kids on a ride to the fjord down the road. They had a fun time in the creek. They gathered wildflowers and made a small bouquet of cattails, ditch daisies, grass plumes and red berries. The kids rode bicycles and Mark and Pam WAGLER's recumbent bike and enjoyed playing in the mud. The dogs enjoyed chasing each other around the park and taking a dip in the pond.

Saturday, the rest of the gang arrived to partake in the WAGLER Program and chili dump. Kiera WAGLER took over as host this year and did a wonderful job directing the kids. Eileen THURMAN was the producer of the event. Russell KLENK started the program with the Pledge of Allegiance. The kids told jokes, sand the Baby Shark song and did a few skits. The Backwood Boys sang Shower of Blessings and squirted the audience with water guns. Rain started as they headed back to the campground from the one-room schoolhouse. It calmed down enough to push some tables together under canopies and enjoy a meal, with good food and desserts, then the rains came back. It was still raining the next morning, and the breakfast was canceled as people were packing up and leaving. This year, the Linger Longers were: Rob and Darla CHADDOCK and Bella, Gary and Leanna WAGLER and Mark and Pam WAGLER.

Campers were Mark and Pam WAGLER, Fort Madison; Gary and Leanna WAGLER, Burlington; Mike RICE, Danville; Mike and Eileen THURMAN, Wilton; Rob and Darla CHADDOCK and Bella, Chase, Stephanie, Russell KLENK and dog George and cat Snowball, Betty Carol WALLMAN, Yarmouth; Miles, Jenna, Olivia and Adison WAGLER and dog Faith, Altoona; Josh, Missy, Trinity and Tate DEAN, Crawfordsville; Tanner and Cassie HOLLINGSWORTH, Denver, Colorado.

Drop-ins were: Betty WAGLER, Hillary, Ethan, Wes and Jacob MILO, Bettendorf; Jim and Deanna GRABER, Eldridge; Rob, April, and Blake WAGLER, Mt. Union; Whitney WAGLER and dog Ava. Wapello; Des, Kelli and Kailand WILLIAMS, Kiera WAGLER, Burlington; Dave THROCKMORTON and David POGGEMILLER, Keosauqua; Les and Kathie LOYD, New London; Shelly WAGLER, Mediapolis.
