CARRIED NEEDLE TWENTY-SIX YEARS. H. G. SHRINER of this city is recovering from a surgical operation which he was compelled to undergo Saturday. More than a quarter of a century ago he ran a needle in his foot. It had occasioned him considerable annoyance at times, but surgeons were unable to locate it and give him relief. DR. J. FRED CLARKE of this city, through the use of X-rays, found it in the heel and succeeded in removing it, in two pieces. MR. SHRINER is now freer from pain than he has been for some time and his complete recovery is only a question of time.

This data has been transcribed for genealogical purposes; I am not related to the subject.
