REUNIONS

CRILE

Twenty-five descendants met for the 99th CRILE reunion July 31 at the Brighton Community Center.

A potluck dinner was served.

Loretta DIERS presided over the business meeting. The 2015 minutes and treasurer's report was given.

As introductions were made, each person mentioned a special memory they had of past reunions, such as playing ball in the park, children singing and/or presenting a skit. A memory from the earlier reunions was the ice cream cups that were served and always closing the reunions by singing "God Be With You Till We Meet Again."

Correspondence was shared from Linda DiSETTE stating that her grandson qualified for the Olympic swim trials in Omaha, Nebraska, in July. He did not advance onto competition at Rio, but the family is looking forward to hearing about Sam DiSETTE in 2020.

Connie BAUR (sic - BAUER?) and her sister Linda BOSTON traveled to Germany and were near the Black Forest region, which is where the CRILEs originated.

It was moved and seconded to meet for the 100th CRILE reunion July 30 in the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Building, if available.

The committee for the 2017 reunion is Kathleen ANDERSON, Connie BAUER, Alisha HIRD, LaVon HOSTETLER and Loretta DIERS. Several relatives will update their family genealogy and give it to the committee to update the original CRILE book. The committee will continue to meet to plan for 2017.

A collection was taken, which helps with the cost of rent and for upcoming expenses.

The meeting was adjourned, and visiting continued.
