Lifestyles SectionBAXTERs to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Mervin and Marcine BAXTER will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2-4 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Pleasant Plain Friends Church in Pleasant Plain.
Marcine McDOWELL of Agency and Mervin BAXTER of Hedrick were married Aug. 28, 1960, at the Agency Methodist Church in Agency by the Rev. Earl McGinness.
Hosting the event are their children and families: Jim BAXTER and friend Christine McGillick of Burlington, Joe and Mary BAXTER of Olathe, Kan., Joyce and Nick MARTIN or Packwood (sic), Johnnie and Michelle BAXTER of Brighton, and Jeanna and Dave JOHNSON of Richland. The couple has seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
