Lifestyles SectionHECHTs celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Bill and Carmen HECHT of Bondurant celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 30. The couple and their family celebrated with a dinner July 31 at the home of daughter Cindy NELLER in Indianola.
Bill HECHT and Carmen FUNK were married July 30, 1960, at Carter Lake Presbyterian Church in Carter Lake with the Rev. Chapman and the Rev. Shannon officiating.
The HECHTs moved to Fairfield from Omaha, Neb., in 1965. They lived in Fairfield until 1990 when they moved to Gainesville, Fla., after purchasing a business in Gainesville.
Mr. HECHT was employed by the Dexter Co. in Fairfield and is a retired business owner. Mrs. HECHT was employed by Fairfield School District and also is a retired business owner.
Their children are Cindy NELLER and husband Ted of Indianola, Kathy HECHT COENEN of Ankeny and Laura HECHT of Johnston. They have seven grandchildren.
