Patrick G. KESSEL and Suzan BATES KESSEL will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary Aug. 29.
The KESSELs were married in 1970 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield by Father Jonathon Simmons. Among their attendants were Michael KESSEL, the groom's brother and best man, and Olivia SMITH, the bride's sister and maid of honor.
The KESSELs have made their home in Fairfield for the past 40 years. Mr. KESSEL has been with Farm Bureau Financial Services for 36 years, and Mrs. KESSEL is a local artist.
Their three children are Stacy BERG and husband Brian of Marion, Alex KESSEL and wife Christie of Fairfield, and Makenzie KESSEL of Fairfield. They have four grandchildren.
The KESSELs will be celebrating with family and close friends, and a designated "40th Anniversary Mass" will be at 9 a.m. Aug. 29 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield.
