Approximately 64 members of the Elmer and Edna CANADAY family met for a reunion Aug. 8 in the Birmingham City Park.

Of their eight children, five are deceased: Earl, Lloyd, Clifford, Robert and Cleola CANADAY YARNELL. The three surviving family members were all in attendance: John CANADAY of Boulder, Colo.; Dean CANADAY of Birmingham; and Karen CANADAY STREED of Mount Sterling.

Six generations of the Elmer CANADAY family were represented coming from six states: Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas and Missouri. Ages ranged from 90 (John CANADAY of Boulder, Colo.) to age 1 (Sawyer SHALLA of Riverside).

Twenty-five members of the family had a gathering Aug. 9 at the home of Karen and Larry STREED of Mount Sterling where they celebrated August family birthdays.
