HOMES OF FAIRFIELD. Hoskins Funeral Home, 112 West Burlington Street. Built by Dr. Nathaniel STEEL in 1856 and his home until the end. Frank CUMMINGS was a grandson and was born in this house. Dr. STEEL was an early settler, in earlier years being a busy practitioner and a successful business man. The Davies Oil Co., predecessor of the Mid-Continent Corp., had its offices here for some time, in 1922-23.
