Dr. N. STEELE, who left Fairfield Oct. 22, 1878, made his home at Beloit, Kansas, until July 22, 1887, when he moved to Council Grove, Morris County, Kansas. He was one of the best known early settlers in Fairfield, having come here in Nov., 1845. His wife died here in 1872, and he married again in Kansas in 1884. He is still engaged in the practice of his profession.
