Page 52:
“Benjamin came west with Cyrus and accompanied him down river to Oregon City and Portland .....Benjamin crossed the Columbia into what would become Washington Territory .....his name appears in public activities in Washington Territory and Vancouver history.

Page 152:
Mary Olney Brown, in Olympia, wrote a letter to Almeda (m. 1839 Dudley Hardy) in Iowa, dated Sept 29 1861: “Benjamin is in Tillamook and Emily and I have his children.....They are smart children.....” Benjamin’s Indian wife had died, which accounts for his sister’s care of the children.

Page 154:
The parents of the Olney children settled near Durham (?) Iowa. (Marion County?)
