“The Name Was Olney,” by Roscoe Sheller, Pub. 1965 by Franklin Press, Inc., Yakima, Washington.

“Cyrus Olney’s parents - - a sixth generation in America, William and Charlotte (Tanner) Olney, married in 1809 in Greenfield, New York; William was 17 and Charlotte 14. Their 12 children were born in eight different towns, spread from New York to Iowa.....William, the fourth child, married Elisa Green in Durham July18 1839.....”
