MONROE -- Funeral services for Mary Ellen Vander Kieft Sellers, 54, a longtime resident of Monroe, were held Sunday, Nov. 12, at the Monroe United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Jerry Mc Gee, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

Memorials to the Monroe United Methodist Church or the Monroe Public Library may be left at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe.

Survivors are her husband, Jerry; two sons, Chris and Gregg, both of Des Moines; and her mother, Norma Vander Kieft of Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Mrs. Sellers, a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church, was employed at Bruce Insurance Agency in Monroe.

The daughter of Dick and Norma North Vander Kieft, she was born Nov. 16, 1934 at Newton and was a 1953 graduate of Newton Community High School.

She was married to Jerry Sellers June 25, 1924 at Little Brown Church at Nashua.
