Arnold A. Anthony

ALTOONA - Arnold A. Anthony, 47, of 605 6th Ave. SE, Altoona, a former Newton resident, died of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning Friday, April 5, at his home.

Funeral services were held today, April 8, at the Altoona Christian Church.

Memorial contributions to the Altoona Christian Church or the Moose Lodge will be accepted.

Survivors are his wife, Sheri; a daughter, Lynn Anthony of Newton; a son, Allen of Pella; a step-daughter, Kelli Diehm of Ankeny; his father, Lewis Anthony of Newton; a sister, Gail Mindham; three brothers, Elmer, Ersel and Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

A native of Newton, Mr. Anthony resided in Newton until 18 months ago when he moved to Altoona.

He was an active member of the Altoona Christian Church, Moose Lodge 923, United Auto Workers, Local 997, and the Grinnell Eagles.

Mr. Anthony was an employee of the assembly department at the Maytag Co. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa, April 8, 1985.

Note: he is buried at Palo Alto Cemetery
