BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 11, for Andrew “Andy” William Shields, 19, of Beaverton, Ore.

He died July 7 of injuries sustained in an auto accident.

He was the son of former Newton residents Carlton and Mary Lou Shields, now of Beaverton.

Survivors include his parents, sister, Catherine; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Jansen of Beaverton and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Shields of Des Moines.

A memorial in his name has been established at the Sunset Presbyterian Church of Portland, Ore.
