Will Den Otter rites Saturday; died Wednesday
MONROE - Funeral services for William Den Otter, 84, of Monroe will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Monroe First Baptist Church.
The Rev. Eldon Pals, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Russell Farrell of Knoxville, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe is handling arrangments.
Survivors are his wife, Ella; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Masters; three brothers, Cornelius Den Otter of Des Moines, Bert Den Otter of Plant City, Fla.; and John Den Otter of Monroe; fie half-brothers, Wendell Den Otter, Austin Den Otter, Harry Den Otter, Bob Den Otter and Jerry Den Otter; and two half-sisters, Nona Linden and Marie Richter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Mr. Den Otter, an army veteran of World War I, was a member of the Monroe American Legion, the Jasper County World War I Veterans and the Monroe Masonic Lodge.
He was in the insurance business and had been amployed by IMP Co. of Des Moines.
He was married to Ella Mikesell Oct. 30, 1932 in Versailles, Mo. ~ The Newton Daily News, June 26, 1981.
