PELLA - A. Ernest De Cook, 78, a lifelong resident of the Pella and Leighton areas, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, in Pella.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Pella First Reformed Church. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Leighton.

Family visitation will be held from 7 t 9 p.m. today, Nov. 28, at the Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella.

Memorials to the World Home Bible League will be accepted.

Survivors are his wife, Fannetta; three daughters, six step-children, including Henry E. Ver Ploeg of Newton; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; two step- great-grandchildren; and two brothers. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, IA Nov 28, 1984.
