MONROE - Mrs. Harold (Louise) Dawson, 64, of Monroe, owner and operator with her husband for many years of Dawson's Cafe in Monroe died Sunday evening, Nov. 11, while maintaining a bedside vigil with her husband at the Pella Community Hospital.
Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe is handling arrangements.
Survivors are her husband; two sons, Dean of Newton and John of Monroe; a sister, Pauline Tabor of Newton; severn grandchildren; and two brothers, Wayne Alford and Clint Alford, Jr.
She was preceded in death bh her parents, a brother and a grand-daughter.
The daughter of Clint and Pearl Alford, she was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Missouri. She moved to rural Newton as a young girl and had lived in the Newton, Prairie City and Monroe areas. ~ The Newton Daily News, Nov 12, 1984.
