Agnes I. Doland dies on Monday; rites Wednesday
NEWTON - Mrs. Horal A. (Agnes I.) Doland, 84, of Heritage Manor, resident of Newton since 1965 and longtime Jasper County resident, died Monday at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral HOme.
Dr. Richard Bentzinger, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
Memorial contributins to a fund in Mrs. Doland's name will be accepted. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors are a son, Kenneth, of Newton, six daughters, Mary Long and Mrs. Mark (Dorothy) Grush, both of Newton, Mrs. Daryl (Viola) Hanawalt of Colfax, Esther Armentrout and Gayle Morrison, both of Des Moines, and Mrs. Harlan (Alberta) Long of Baxter; and a number of grandchildren great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, a daughter and two brothers.
Mrs. Doland was a member of the Lynch, Neb., United Methodist Church.
The daughter of Frank A. and Amy E. Peterson Fitch, she was born Aug. 3, 1897 in Lynch, Neb.
She was married Sept. 29, 1915 in Lynch, Neb. ~ The Newton Daily News, April 20, 1982.
