Henrietta Duinink; former Jasper resident dies
PELLA - Mrs. Leonard (Henrietta W.) Duinink, 72, of Pella, a resident south of Galesburg for 30 years and the Monroe area for a year, died Tuesday at the Hillhaven Convalescent Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Third Reformed Church in Pella.
The Rev. Henry W. Kolenbrander, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery near Pella.
Survivors are her husband; four sons, Howard of Otley, Carl of Knoxville, Glen of Monroe and Earl of Pella; a daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Cora) Van Wyk of Oskaloosa; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Nick (Martha) Geurts of Pella and Mrs. Leo (Viola) Sytsma of Tracy; and a brother, Arie A. Beyer of Pella.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, a sister and a brother.
She was a member of the Pella Third Reformed Church.
The daughter of Ben and Johanna Van Helten Beyer, she was born Jan. 14, 1911 near Pella and attended European County Grade School near Pella.
She was married Oct. 23, 1929 at Newton.
She also had resided near Pella for 10 years. ~ The Newton Daily News, July 7, 1983.
