Alice M. Udelhoven, 91, of Newton died Friday, Aug. 22, at USA Healthcare in Newton.
Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27, 11 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Newton with Pastor Roger L. Neuman officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Family Funeral Home 1115 E. 19th St. N. in Newton. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church and left at the funeral home.
The daughter of Frederick H. and Anetta Johanns Schroeder, she was born May 10, 1912 in Platteville, Wis. She graduated from Platteville High School in 1930. She had been a resident of Newton since 1930. She was united in marriage to Leo Udelhoven on Nov. 8, 1932 in Galena, Ill., and was a homemaker and worked in the office of Newton Welding for her husband. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Newton, and served as the church organist for 32 years.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Roberta Udelhoven of Newton, and Donald and Karen Udelhoven of Boone; a daughter, Maxine Udelhoven of Newton; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leo; a son, David; a brother and a sister.
