KELLOGG - Edith Luckey, 63, of Kellogg, died Friday, August 1, at Grinnell Regional
Medical Center.A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell. Burial will be in Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Edith Luckey Memorial Fund.
The daughter of Carl and Eva Reynolds Henning, she was born Feb. 7, 1940, in Newton. She was raised in the Kellogg area and was a 1958 graduate of Kellogg High School.
On Oct. 20, 1961, she married James Luckey in Newton and the couple lived in the Newton and Kellogg area where she was employed b the Maytag Company. The couple moved to Rock Springs, Wyo., in 1973 and she managed a restaurant and bar. She retired in 1993 and moved to Theodosia, Mo., and returned to Kellogg in 1998. She was a member of the Rock Springs Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Jim of Kellogg; two daughters, Linda Luckey of Kellogg and Connie Bernard of Rock Springs, Wyo.; three sisters, Judy Norton and Ruth Henning, both of Kellogg, and Marcia White of Grinnell; and two brothers, Jerry Henning of Grinnell and Virgil Henning of Madison, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Carl "Sonny" Henning.
