Martha L. "Rene" Danks, 84, of 122 Walnut Drive in Lambs Grove died Thursday, July 31, at USA Healthcare in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with Pastor Steven Pannkuk of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family, will be available. Memorials will be accepted to USA Healthcare and may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Clarence and Lucille (Rogers) Fisher, she was barn April 1, 1919, in Chariton. She was a graduate of Kirkville High School. On Jan. 20, 1940, she married Donald Danks in Newton and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband; three sons and two daughters-in-law, John and Holly Danks of Loudon, Tenn., Jim and Willa Danks of Vacaville, Calif., and Dennis Danks of Kellogg; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold "Bo" and Greta Fisher of Tama; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lucille Lonergan.
