COLERAINE, Minn. Frank E. Woods Jr., 82, of Coleraine, Minn., formerly of Colfax, died Tuesday, July 1, at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minn.

Memorial services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax with the Rev. Marvin Potter officiating. Burial of cremains will be in the Colfax Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Following the burial the family will greet friends at a luncheon at the Colfax First Presbyterian Church.

The son of Frank E. and Clare E. (Wheeler) Woods, he was born Dec. 26, 1920, in Colfax. He was a letter carrier for the postal service in Colfax and Illinois for more than 25 years and was self-employed in the boat motor trailer business in Colfax and Texas. He served three years in the United States Army, serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He enjoyed many hobbies. Mr. Woods was baptized as a member of the Presbyterian Church in Colfax.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian; two children, Daniel Lewis Woods of Teague, Texas, and Mary Clare Woods of Coleraine, Minn.; two grandsons and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James Lee Woods, and a grandson.
