PRAIRIE CITY - Wanda Kutchin, 88, formerly of Prairie City, died Wednesday, July 16, at Senior Suites in Urbandale.
Graveside services will be held at Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation will be Friday after 2 p.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to Prairie City Ambulance or Senior Suites of Urbandale for the Wanda Kutchin Memorial Fund.
The daughter of Elmer and Lina Dot (Warner) Williams, she was born Aug. 27, 1914, in Prairie City. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1931 and later received a business degree from Northwestern University.
On Jan. 12, 1936, she married Rudy Kutchin. She lived in the Prairie City area the majority of her life and worked at the Prairie City Bank for 11 years. She worked at Bankers Life in Des Moines for 24 years before retiring.
Mrs. Kutchin was active in the community as well as the Prairie City United Methodist Church. She enjoyed family and friends, Bible study and bingo.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Miller of San Diego, Calif., and Jane Kutchin of Urbandale, and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Reva and Elva.
