MONROE – Isabell "Belle" Kingery of Monroe died Friday, July 4, at her home.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Monroe First Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Baum of Fairfield officiating. Her body has been donated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine.

Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe is handling arrangements. Memorials will be accepted to Hospice of Pella.

The daughter of William Everett and Sylvia (Warman) Whittington, she was born Oct. 31, 1924, in Chicago, Ill. She graduated from high school in Chicago. On Jan. 1, 1944, she married Laurence R. Kingery in Chicago. She was a cook at Gramma's Kitchen, Casey's and Monroe schools. Mrs. Kingery was a member of the Monroe First Baptist Church, was an Awana leader, a member of the Church Bell Choir, was a children's Bible storyteller at church and was an avid baker.

Survivors include her husband; four sons and daughters-in-law, Russ "Rusty" and Marlys Kingery of Kabetogama, Minn., Ray "Hap" and Dale Kingery of Iowa City, Ronald "Skip" and Virg Kingery of Des Moines and Roger and Lynette Kingery of Earlham; on daughter and son-in-law, Cookie and Steve Eckard of Earlham; 11 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
