PELLA - Elizabeth Franje, 86, of Pella, formerly of Jasper County, died Wednesday, June 25, at Pella Regional Health Center in Pella.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Trinity Reformed Church in Pella. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella. Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella is handling arrangements.

Memorials will be accepted to Trinity Reformed Church or Sheltered Care Unit-Pella Regional Health Center.

The daughter of Ben and Marie Rozendaal, she was born Feb. 5, 1917, in rural Sully. On Feb. 22, 1939, she married Mr. Doris Franje in rural Sully. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and reading. She lived on farms in the Otley and Sully areas.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Cindy Franje of Corpus Christi, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Hyer of Phoenix, Ariz., Lois and Russ Rozendaal of Sully and Linda and Doug Oppenhuizen of Pella; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Stella Meupolder of Pella, Pearl Riemersma of Phoenix, Ariz., and Pauline Mathes of Pella.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son.in-law, Floyd Hyer; a sister, Bertha Bogaards; a brother, Jake Rozendaal; and a brother-in-law, Lane Meupolder.
