MONROE - Lois B. Duncan, 78, of Monroe died Tuesday, June 24, at Pella Regional Health Center in Pella.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Monroe United Methodist Church with Pastor Harold Koughn officiating. Burial will be at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Walters Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe is handling arrangements.

Friends may call Friday after 2 p.m. at the funeral home where the family will be available from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to the Monroe United Methodist Church.

The daughter of Laurel V. and Merriam (Kingdon) Buckley, she was born Dec. 12, 1924, in Monroe. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1942. On Nov. 21, 1942, she married John "Jack" Duncan. She worked at Younkers as a sales associate and was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church, 50-year member of P.E.O., Monroe Mothers Club and Women's Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John Edward Jr. and Diane Duncan of Hendersonville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
