Christopher Edward Carver, 34, of 6.03 S. 14th Ave. W. died Saturday, June 21, in a motor vehicle accident in Jasper County.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1.0 a.m. at the Collins Christian Church in Collins. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.

Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church where the family will be available. Memorials may be sent to his wife, Mrs. Rhonda Carver, 6.03 S. 14th Ave. W., Newton 50208.

The son of Ed and Pamela Carver, he was born Dec. 27, 1968, in Ames. He was employed by the Maytag Corporation and was a resident of Newton since 1995. On Oct. 16, 1999, he married Rhonda Danks in Newton.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Devin of Newton; a sister and brother-in-law, Mindy and Brad Oswalt of rural Colo; his parents, Ed and Deb Carver of Altoona and Bill and Pamela Hamilton of Des Moines; his paternal grandfather, Ralph Carver of Ames; and his maternal grandparents, Forrest and Leonora Luing of Collins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Esther Carver.
