STILLWATER, Okla. - Oren Luther Matney, 67, of Stillwater, Okla., formerly of Baxter, died Friday, May 30, at his home.

Funeral services were held today at Eden Chapel with Father David Medina officiating. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Stillwater, Okla. Strode Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements

Mr. Matney was born August 3, 1935, in Baxter, the son of DeLos Middleton and Wilma Marie Dodd Middleton. He attended schools in Baxter, and graduated from Wichita (Kan.) High School and attended the University of Central Oklahoma. He was a truck driver for Bill Eisenhour's Funeral Home and a member of the Catholic Church. He was united in marriage to Wilda Arlene Murlin on May 6, 1971, in Joplin, Mo.

He is survived by his wife; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Charles Michael Price of Newton, Wesley Eugene and wife Bev of Des Moines, Delbert Wayne Price and wife Cheryl of Perkins, Okla., and Curtis Glenn Price and wife Barbara of Stillwater, Okla.; a sister, Donna Marie Matney of Stillwater, Okla.; his father; 26 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Lyle Matney and wife Nancy of LeGrand; three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Shirley Warner and George Shucks of Newton, Mary Ann Schermerhorn and husband Gene of Newton, and Linda Sides and husband George of Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his mother, two sisters, and a grandson.
