Delores Lucille Monteleone, 72, of 701 E. 27th St. S. died of heart failure Thursday, May 8, at her home.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with Pastor Randall Cormeny of St. John's Lutheran Church in Melcher, officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials will be accepted to the Jasper County Animal Humane Society and Rescue League and may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of William E. and Julia (Mulbrook) Marshall, she was born April 27, 1931, in Newton. She graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1949. On Feb. 28, 1951, she married Mike T. Monteleone in Newton. She was a home health care aide with Jasper County Home Healthcare for more than 15 years.

Survivors include her husband; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Ronda Monteleone of Newton and Brett and Lorretta Monteleone of Dallas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Rick Movius of Fayetteville, N.C., Tanya Cunningham of Newton and Nicole and Roy Noble of Des Moines; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gerald Marshall; and two sisters, Betty Marshall arid Marilyn Fisher.
