Ernest Reginold Elscott, 96, of Newton died of complications of a stroke Monday, May 5, at USA Health Care in Newton.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Sully Cemetery in Sully.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at Pence Funeral Home in Newton where the family will be available from 10 a.m. to noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted in his name or to the donor's choice.
