MITCHELLVILLE — Lucille M. Gaskill, 84, of Mitchellville died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

A burial service will take place following cremation at a time and date to be later announced. Friends and family wishing to give memorials may direct them to the Lucille M. Gaskill Memorial Fund. Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements.

The daughter of Cecil Earl and Florence (Collister) Shadley, she was born Feb. 12, 1921. She married Howard Gaskill. She enjoyed cooking and working as a seamstress.

Survivors include her husband; five children, Ronald (Jane) Gaskill, Debbie (Keith) VerSteegh, Steve Gaskill, Leslie (Gloria) Gaskill and Tom Gaskill; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dara Lee Price.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and one sister.
