BAXTER - Robert 1. Robson, 73, of Baxter, formerly of Colfax, died Sunday, April 20, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Monies.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Colfax with Pastor Phil Butler and Pastor Roland Watters officiating., Burial will be in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.

Friends may call today at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax after 2 p.m. The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Colfax First Baptist Church or the United Church of Christ in Baxter.

The son of Frank and Minta (Waller) Robson, he was born Aug. 16, 1929, in Hartford. He worked at Maytag for 30 years and retired in 1978.

On November 5, 1999, he married Susan Hall in Colfax. He was a member of the Colfax First Baptist Church and also attended the United Church of Christ in Baxter.

Survivors include his wife; a sister, Erma Miller of Des Moines; and a brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur and Colleen Robson of Colfax.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mildred Robson and Thelma Spencer.
