GREENFIELD - Ilo Mildred Orr, 89, of Greenfield, formerly of Baxter, died Saturday, April 26, at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Greenfield with Pastor Sandy Smith officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Baxter Tuesday at 3 p.m. with Pastor Rollin Watters officiating. Steen Funeral Homes in Greenfield is handling arrangements.

The daughter of Leon Audley and Mildred Isabel (Smay) Cammack, she was born Sept. 1, 1913, in Radcliffe. She was raised and educated in Radcliffe and Baxter. She graduated from Baxter High School and then from Capital City Commercial College in Des Moines. She worked for the federal government in Washington, D.C., during World War II as an executive secretary and at the Maytag Company in the industrial engineering department. She retired in 1976.

Mrs. Orr was a member of the Greenfield United Methodist Church, taught Sunday School, enjoyed music, singing in the choir and was a member of the Literary Club. She enjoyed church activities, crocheting, quilting and playing the piano. She was married to Charles Orr.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jacky and James Ramer of Fortuna, Mo., and Eileen Radcliff Sheriff of Greenfield; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Stanley Charles Orr, two sisters, Norma Grube and Phyllis Thurston and a grandson.
