Agnes Alberdina Van Der Wilt, 85, of Newton died of congestive heart failure Friday, March 28, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Community Reformed Church in Newton with the Rev. Neal Busker officiating. Burial will be at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Pence Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

The daughter of Henry and Sarah (Van Rees) Willemsen, she was born Sept. 2, 1917, in rural Killduff. She graduated from Kellogg Senior High School and on Feb. 25, 1941, she married Wildo Van Der Wilt in Sully. She was a member of the Farm Bureau, local neighborhood club, member of the First Reformed Church in Prairie City.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Michael Latcham of Newton; two grandchildren; and one great -grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Laura Van Der Pol, Sarah Van Der Pol, Jeanette Willemsen and Beatrice Beyer, and two brothers, Joe Willemsen and Howard Willemsen.
