Former Colfax Woman Dies
Colfax, Ia. (Special to The Daily News) – Mrs. C. C. Serris of Des Moines, sister of William Garrett of Colfax, died Friday afternoon following a prolonged illness. She was about 60 years old.
Mrs. Serris was the former Elizabeth Garrett. Her husband, two brothers and five sisters survive. Funeral services will be held in Des Moines Monday morning with burial at Colfax.

Mrs. Serris Funeral Is Held Monday
Colfax, Ia. - Funeral services were to be held in Des Moines Monday morning for Mrs. C. C. Serris, former Colfax woman who died Friday afternoon following a prolonged illness. Burial was to be in the Colfax cemetery.
Mrs. Serris was the former Elizabeth Garrett of Colfax. Immediate relatives surviving include her husband; two brothers, William Garrett of Colfax and Arthur Garrett of Ames, and five sisters, Mrs. Elsie Miller of Maquoketa, Ia., Mrs. Byron Finch of Monmouth, Ia., Mrs. Amy Stickley of Monmouth, Ia., Mrs. Kate Fretz of Little Rock, Ark., and Mrs. Amanda Norris of Des Moines.
