Mrs. Schnathorst Succumbs Today At Moline, Ill.
Mrs. Lottie Schnathorst, 80, sister of Chris Bergman of Newton, died at her home in Moline, Ill., at 3 o’clock this morning. She suffered a stroke recently and had been ill with influenza.
The body is being brought to Newton for interment in the Newton Union Cemetery beside her husband and daughter.
Surviving are two sons, Rev. Fred Schnathorst of near Elgin, Ill., William of near Chicago and two daughters, Selma and Corrine at home. Also surviving are Mr. Bergman of Newton, a brother, and Mrs. Bert Benjamin of Oak Park, Ill., a sister.
She was a sister of the late Mrs. Dena Maytag and late W. C. Bergman.

Mrs. Schnathorst Rites Here Thursday
Graveside rites for Mrs. Lottie Schnathorst, 80, who died in Moline, Ill., Tuesday, will be held at the Newton Union cemetery Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock.
Rites are to be held at Moline and the body brought to Newton for burial.
Mrs. Schnathorst is a sister of Chris Bergman of Newton and Mrs. Bert Benjamin of Oak Park, Ill.

Hold Graveside Rites Here for Mrs. Schnathorst
Graveside rites for Mrs. Lottie Schnathorst, 80, were conducted at the Newton Union cemetery Thursday afternoon by Rev. Frederick J. Rolf of Rock Island.
Mrs. Schnathorst died at her home in Moline, Ill., Tuesday morning.
Pallbearers were Fred Schnathorst, Roy Schnathorst, Max Enochs, Marvin Enochs, Harry Bergman, and James Dodge, all nephews of the deceased.
Wed in 1886
Lottie Bergman, daughter of William C. and Louisa Bergman, pioneer settlers, was born Jan. 15, 1861, in a cabin at Spirit Lake, Ia. She was wed June 30, 1886, to Rev. Fred Schnathorst and since that time has lived most of her life in Illinois.
Of eight children born to this union two daughters preceded her in death.
Sons and daughters present for the service were: Rev. and Mrs. Fred Schnathorst of Bartlett, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. William Schnathorst of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. H. P. Sartorius of Petersburg, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. William Mulgehill of Davenport, Selma and Corrine Schnathorst of Moline, Ill.
At Services
Others from out-of-town attending the service were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eberhart of Rock Island, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Haalk of Davenport.
Mrs. Schnathorst also is survived by a brother Chris Bergman of Newton, and a sister, Mrs. D. R. Benjamin of Oak Park, Ill.
Preceding her in death were her husband, two daughters, and a sister, Mrs. Dena B. Maytag and five brothers, W. c. Bergman, Henry G. Bergman, Adolph Bergman, F. H. Bergman and A. H. Bergman.
