PELLA – John H. Renaud, 84, of Pella, formerly of rural Sully, died of heart failure Wednesday, March 12, at Pella Regional Health Center in Pella.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Berean Baptist Church in Pella. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella. Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella is handling arrangements.

Friends may call today at the funeral home where the family will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to the Bible Truth Publishers or the American Cancer Society.

The son of Paul H. and Lydia (VanDerPol) Renaud, he was born May 1, 1918, in Sully. On March 19, 1942, he married Grace Elscott in Taintor. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and doing woodworking. He farmed south of Sully until moving into Pella in 1985.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce M. and Dean Roorda of Newton; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six brothers and four sisters-in-law, Paul E. and Dorothy, Gerrit, Mark and Patricia, all of Pella, James and Gladys of Sully, Edmund and Miriam of Iowa falls, Leo and Marguerite of Lynnville; three sisters, Johanna Renaud of Pella, Lydia and Henry Roossinck of Fremont, Mich., and Mary and John Verratti of Gasport, N.Y.; and two sisters-in-law, Viola Renaud of Prairie City and Florence Renaud of Pella.
