Hold Rites for H. Lynch, 57
Final rites for Henry Lynch, 57, who died from inhaling illuminating gas on Friday, Dec. 27, 1940, were conducted at the Morgan funeral home Monday morning at 10 o’clock.
The short prayer service conducted by Rev. H. L. Kinser was followed by rites in the afternoon at 4 o’clock at the Christian church at Eldon, Ia. Interment was in the Eldon cemetery.
Henry Lynch was born April 4, 1883, near Eldon, Ia., the son of Harrison and Christina Lynch.
He had resided in Newton about 13 years and was a former railroad worker, coal miner, and a former employe of the Maytag company factory. He was a member of the Christian church and a former member of the executive board of the local C.I.O. Union.
Surviving are his wife and three sons, Sumner, Seymour and Dean.
