Prairie City, Ia. - Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon of last week at the home of C. M. Baird for his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Spooner, 95, who died there March 10, 1941.
Rev. R. T. White, pastor of the Methodist church of Prairie City officiated and interment was in the Westview cemetery.
Mrs. Spooner, a former teacher in the Ottumwa and Prairie City communities had made her home in Ottumwa and later with her brother since the death of husband in 1916.
Surviving are two brothers, C. M. Baird and H. F. Baird, both of Prairie City, four nephews, three nieces and several grandnieces and nephews.
