Former Newton Woman Dies in Monrovia, Calif.
Mrs. Mark H. Evans, 63, the former Daisee Robinson, daughter of the late Ralph Robinson, owner of the old Newton Journal, died at her home at 134 Poinsettia street, Monrovia, Calif., Tuesday, according to word received here.
Rites Today
Funeral services were to be held today with interment beside her husband in the Soldiers cemetery in San Diego.
Mrs. Evans was a member of Chapter AO. P.E.O., Newton, and was actively associated with the Monrovia Woman’s Club and Episcopal church.
Relatives Survive
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mrs. Maggie Chambers, wife of Rev. R. F. Chambers, a brother, S. Mona Robinson, who also was connected with the old Newton journal, and a niece, Ruth Chambers.
Surviving are a brother, with whom she made her home, two nieces, Mrs. Chris Elder of Monrovia and Mrs. William F. Baker of Newton, Kan., three nephews, Ralph Robinson of Newton, Kan., Frederick Robinson of Pasadena, Calif., and Rev. Richard Chambers of Atlantic, Ia.
