GRINNELL - Geraldine Mae Finch, 69, of Grinnell died of respiratory failure Wednesday, March 5, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center in Grinnell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with Pastor Scott Jones of the Collins Christian Church in Collins officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted in the name of Geraldine Mae Finch and may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.

The daughter of Leslie and Alberta (Lawrence) Krough, she was born Feb. 7, 1934, in Marshalltown. On Jan. 14, 1950, she married Harold L. Finch in Jasper County and was a homemaker. She grew up and lived in Marshalltown until 1959. She lived in Newton from 1959 to 1980 and in 1997 she moved to Grinnell.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Diane Finch of Kellogg, Gene Finch of Newton, Jeff and Lori Finch of Mercer, Mo., and Robert, and Marilyn Finch of Grinnell; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Ray Krueger of Grinnell; 11 grand children; two great-grandchildren; 10 brothers, Frederick, Richard, Dennis, Tom, Rex and Paul Krough and Jim Eash, all of Marshalltown, Ted Krough of Clemons, Randy Krough of Vinton and Carroll Krough of Tama; two sisters, Esther Kester of Clemons and Mary Carkhuff of Marshalltown; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-parents, husband, a son and a sister.
